Lazy girl beauty/life hacks

For todays post I wanted to take a step away from the Christmas ones and write a beauty hacks one, because let’s be honest, we are always looking for ways to make our life easier (at least I am 🙂 )

For todays post I wanted to share with you my favorite beauty hacks and life hacks that I cannot live without!

ENJOY 🙂

Stuck on how to get the perfect cat eye? Use a credit card to make a foolproof line. – I have always been skeptical if this would work or not, and it did! I was so happy that it does work because I am not the best at eyeliner so using this hack makes it look 10 times better 🙂

2. Mix a little peppermint oil into your lip gloss to give your lips a plumping boost. – I have small lips and this combined with another hack that you will see later on is a miracle worker.
3. Use your lash curler to get the perfect eyeliner. – you can’t use a liquid eyeliner if using this hack because it dries too quickly so personally I don’t use this hack for that reason but, I wanted to include it because I am sure there are many of you out there that don’t use liquid liner so for you guys this hack will work.

4. Use a business card or note card to get the best mascara line. – once you get used to it this hack is pretty great. For me it doesn’t save any time but I guess if you have a hard time applying mascara this hack would work for you 🙂

See exactly how to do it here.

5. Use a white or light eyeliner to really make your eyes pop (or hide how tired/hung over you are). – great fix for my tired morning eyes. I use a white liner pencil in the center of my eyes and really blend it out and then add some highlighter on top for a POP!

6.  If you accidentally purchase a foundation that’s too dark, adding a bit of moisturizer to your mix can help lighten it. – this works if you add powder to the top of your face because otherwise it can get very shiny, and that can depend on what moisturizer you are using too.
7. If you’ve run out of eyeliner, but have mascara, it can do double duty. Use your liner brush to swipe a bit of mascara, and use it to line your upper lashes. – this hack has saved my eyes many times! (I use the benefit roller lash)
8. If you don’t want your makeup to move an inch, spend $11 on some Ben Nye Final Seal. – I have never tried this hack but I really want too because I personally hate spending a lot of money on setting spray, so if this works as I have heard it does, it’s time for me to buy some.

It's a makeup sealer that professionals use to keep makeup from sweating off or sliding off your face and basically your new BFF if you're planning on going dancing or running or doing something super active.

9. If you want to fake fuller lips, applying light pencil in the center of your lips will do the trick. This is a great hack because I have small lips and I am always in need of a good tip to make them look fuller!

10. Just because you’ve hit the snooze alarm a zillion times, doesn’t mean you can’t look good: This one will definitely come in handy for me because getting up at 5 am in the morning for school is terrible. What usually happens is I hit the snooze button 40 times and then end up falling back to sleep until 5:50 and my bus comes at 6 (lol)

Check out these super simple makeup routines.

Check out these super simple makeup routines. – Use the one and done philosophy: If you’ve only got a short amount of time (or energy), either play up your eyes or your lips, not both. And if you don’t feel like going crazy with your eyes, a quick comb of an eyebrow brush, and a swipe of mascara can usually do the trick.

11. If sleep isn’t on your schedule, you can use this helpful highlighter cheat to look more awake.

12. Prime your eyes with white eyeliner or eyeshadow to really make your colorful shadows and liners stand out. – this is the first time I have ever heard of this hack and I cannot wait to try it out come Monday morning!

13. If you want to make your flaky, clumpy mascara last longer, mix a little contact solution in. – WOW! I never knew this, I usually just throw the mascara out and buy a new one if it is too clumpy. For those of you who don’t have glasses you can probably buy it at CVS or Rite Aid. But for those of us who do have glasses, me, I would not go crazy with using this hack because then you might be going through bottles of it.

But if you've had it for longer than three months, toss no matter what. You DO NOT NEED/WANT an eye infection.

14.  Too lazy to wash your face at night? Keep face wipes by your bed. – Why is this cat literally me at night after school (hah)

Boots, Skyn Iceland, Josie Maran, Ole Henricksen, and Burt's Bees all make awesome and easy-to-carry wipes.

15. If you want longer lashes without extensions, add baby powder to your lash routine. Juse be careful because too much baby powder can make your lashes to clumpy and you DO NOT WANT THAT!!!!

  1. Yet again…..thank you for another great post!

I too don’t have very full lips and I like your idea of adding some peppermint oil to my lip gloss to plump them up!
I also like the tip about using a light pencil in the center of your lips to get fuller lips, I will certainly be trying these hacks.

Using contact solution to un-clump mascara is an awesome idea and one I will try. I just threw out a tube of mascara that was getting clumpy, had I known about this hack I would definitely have tried it……next time I am going to.

I was wondering about using baby powder for longer lashes….. how does that work?

    Again….
    Thank
    You!!!

I always look forward to your posts!!!
