Summer picnic staples can range from yummy lemon pie to savory pulled pork. Whatever the event, 9 times out of 10 you will find these staple items at the table. They are perfect to whip up in a hurry or to add substance to any meal. In addition, other delicious foods you will probably find are potato salad and macaroni salad. Both are wildly popular at picnics and both when made properly taste amazing.
Maybe you are attending a summer bash and are searching high and low for the perfect dish to bring. Instead of picking up a boring cheese platter or adding to the already big pile of desserts, try making this macaroni salad instead. It’s hands down one of the most delicious & easy dishes I have ever created and will guaranteed to be gone in seconds.
Total time: 25 min
- 1 cup celery- chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper- chopped
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1 box of gluten free macaroni pasta – my favorite is Barillas
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Boil the water for the pasta, cook until done, then drain water
- Let pasta cool then transfer to a bowl and add chopped celery, chopped green pepper and shredded carrots. Mix.
- Then add mayonnaise, salt, pepper and sugar. Stir until all the ingredients are incorporated fully
- ENJOY 🙂
Leftovers? No problem. Store them in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
