Baking in general can be pretty difficult but then when you add on having to bake paleo, that adds a whole new level of stress and difficulty to the mix.
When I first became paleo I remember buying so many paleo cookbooks which were such a huge help. They aided me in learning what ingredients are a yes and what ingredients are a no. I remember there being so many little additives that you’re not allowed to use which before the recipe books I knew nothing about. So, my biggest tip for those who are just beginning to transition into the paleo lifestyle, buy a beginner paleo baking book. They outline just about everything you will need to know going forward.
Here are my favorites:
- World’s easiest Paleo baking
- My Paleo Patisserie
- Asian paleo recipes
- Danielle Walker’s Against All Grain Celebrations (My #1 favorite cookbook I own)
If you’re just starting out on this new lifestyle then absorb all the information you can so you have as much knowledge on the topic as you can, and I assure you these books have it all. They we’re the perfect guide in helping me take my first steps into the paleo life.
If you’re new to paleo baking then it may seem a bit daunting to not be able to use…. he who shall not be named…….blanched flour!!!!! But don’t fret because when one door closes another opens, and this door opens to almond flour, coconut flour and about 10 other kinds of paleo friendly flour that are perfect for your needs.
Since I too was once where you are/were I thought it would be helpful to share my top 14 most important ingredients you should always keep in your pantry for when a paleo food craving comes on.
Through trial and error I found the perfect number/ way to keep my pantry organized and keep a minimal number of ingredients in it, all while still being able to whip up a delicious dessert without having to run to the store for more ingredients.
